What this covers
This policy explains what information Dobson Insurance Group collects on this website, why, where it is kept and who can see it. It applies to the application form and to the contact details you share with Michael Dobson.
What we collect
When you send an application, we collect your name, email address and phone number, and for each person listed: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, sex and the medications they take. Date of birth, sex and medications are health information and we treat them as such. We also keep a count of visits to the site by month and year, and, if you arrived through one of our shared links, which link it was. Neither identifies you.
Why we collect it
Michael uses the application to understand what coverage fits you, to prepare quotes and to complete your enrollment with you. We do not use your information for anything else, and we never sell it.
Where it is kept
Applications are stored only in this website’s own database. No outside form service receives them, and nothing is sent to advertising or analytics companies.
How it is protected
Everything you send travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The database encrypts all of its contents at rest. On top of that, the health details on your application (date of birth, sex and medications) and any notes Michael writes are encrypted a second time with a key kept outside the database, so even someone looking directly at the database cannot read them. Every time an application is opened, changed or deleted in the administration area, the site records who did it and when.
Who can see it
Only Michael Dobson, after he signs in to the private administration area of this site. Weekly summary emails to Michael report counts only, never an applicant’s details.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to help you with coverage, and as required by insurance regulations. You can ask us to delete your application at any time.
